I’ve been a featured TED speaker; lectured at the historic Chautauqua Institution; held discussion with caregivers at the Gates Foundation and Starbucks HQ; shared the stage with Christy Turlington at the first national CareFest; talked work and worth and guaranteed income with community organizers, elected officials, and mothers; delivered keynote speeches for nonprofits close to my heart such as Open Arms Perinatal Services; met with college students enrolled in Filipino American Studies classes and, most important, was a visiting author at my daughter’s 3rd grade public school classroom. It turns out speaking and connecting with audiences are some of my favorite parts of being an author.
